Valentine #1

Valentine for Delilah

This is one of two cards I'll be making for our grandbabies this Valentine Day...and since the girls are to young for candies, they'll also be getting a cute little stuffed animal from Nana and Pap.

I'll be entering this card in the challenge over at the Cut it up challenge blog.  Their challenge this week is "Through the woods", so anything you want to create that is associated with wood, wood grain, woodland creatures, trees...or anything else that comes to mind, go on over and join in.

For this card I decided to go with another Disney character, simply because I think they're all so cute!
I hope you like it.

Dale

For this card I used the following cartridge and measurements.  Disney Classics-Dale (pg107), cut at 5 1/2" and heart/layer (pg117), cut at 3/4", 1" and 2".

Now for the little extras.  For the embossing I used the Tim Holtz folder "wood grain", I also used Glossy Accent for Dales nose and eyes, inked his lighter color fur and large heart with Martha Stewarts brownstone...and lastly, used a Copic marker to make the initials and heart.

Thanks so much for stopping by and having a look.  Kathie

Think PINK!

Thinking pink...

Well it's happened again...We've been blessed with another grandbaby and yes, it's another GIRL! That's three for three.  Bryanna Leigh arrived yesterday and came in at 9.59 lbs..  Are we excited and proud...YOU BET!  So off I went to make a card for our newest addition to the family.

I made this card with our newest grandbaby in mind and wanted it to be something special for her mommy and daddy also...a "keepsake" so to speak.  I also decided at this time to get involved in some challenges again to get my creative juices flowing and get my blog back into an active state.

The first challenge is over at Mojo Monday and is a sketch challenge and the second one is over at The Pink Elephant and their challenge is to use the color pink/red, your choice.  So, if you find you have some  time to create, go on over and see what's going on at their blogs and join in on the challenges.

For my card I chose Bambi...I think it's such a cute image and is perfect for a brand new little baby  Besides, I also think the Disney characters are timeless.  I hope you like it.

                                                                              Bambi

For this card I used the following cartridges and measurements.  Disney Classics-Bambi #2 (pg62), cut at 5" and Plantin Schoolbook-letters, cut at 3/4".

I really wanted this card to speak for its self, so I did not ink the edges like I normally do, but I did feel that embossing behind the image would make Bambi standout.  The embossing folder that I used was Birds and Swirls, from Cuttlebug.  I also used the Martha Stewart scoreboard to create the panels on the lower section of the card behind my grandbaby's name and placed a piece of 1/4" pink satin ribbon and handmade bow to finish it off.

Thanks so much for stopping by and having a look...I hope you like it.  Kathie
